While still quite far behind Android but iOS growth has been good news quarter, thanks to the launch of the iPhone smartphone 4S.
iPhone 4S launch of IOS helps sales growth.
Nielsen, one of the leading companies in research and market assessment, has announced the survey results of quarter IV/2011 smartphone market. The survey is done to focus on the customer to buy a smartphone.
Accordingly, the ratio of the total smartphone sales of mobile phones increased from 25% in October to 45% in December, largely thanks to the launch of the iPhone 4S. Android of buyers down 14% over same period due to the effect that Apple's latest smartphone cause. With the difference of the current 16% market share, IOS is its gap with Android.
RIM's U.S. market fell by 2.9% quarter over quarter, while 6%, accounting for 14.9% of the total smartphone sales year. Windows Phone achieve growth slightly, reaching 2.4% in the fourth quarter and 4.6% both in 2011.
