Attacks via SMS not only aim to Android devices and IOS that has attacked a vulnerability in Windows Phone key 7.5, allows an attacker can disable the device by doing tons DDoS via SMS
This vulnerability was first discovered by page WinRumors procedural Two weeks ago today and was reported to Microsoft. However, the current patch is as well as solutions to overcome this problem. The attack works simply send an SMS to the phone using Windows Phone, the device will reboot and the message center will not work, it can also be triggered if the user submits a messages through Facebook or Windows Live Messenger chat.
Worse, new vulnerabilities affect other parts of the operating system. If users have a friend Tile mounted on the device, and he sent a special message on Facebook, Tile perform live update and then the device will be locked. Luckily there is a workaround to this problem is that users need to get rid of live Tile before starting to cause problems.
Fortunately this flaw seems to be an error with the message processor Windows Phone. IOS 3.0 is a hole lot more danger in allowing the attacker can gain control devices. If the device is best to influence the hardware setup and cleanup equipment. Hope will receive a patch provided by Microsoft.
